If you are interested in visualizing the sub categories, then you have to click that particular icon. For example, the layer named 'dining' includes several sub categories. It incorporates all type of dining food categories. If you want to go for specific type of food restaurant then you have to turn on that specific category. In another way, you can choose the 'Dining ' checkbox, which will represent all types of dining.
