Google Earth’s new releases
Google book search is a great Google Earth layer that is launched by Google. This layer can show you icon placemarks when you zoom into various places across the globe. The good thing about this layer is in it you do not need to enter the name of the place. Instead of that you need to browse and there appears placemarks. These placemarks are results from places search mentioned in books that are indexed by search engine of Google. For popular places such as Paris, one can see a wide collection of icons in a series of concentric circles.
Every icon can display the result of a city that is mentioned in that book. There can be many references that can be confusing. When the user will click on the summary link, it will automatically direct users straight to that book search. This is certainly an interesting way to know our beautiful world through exact means. It can be useful for students and teacher who are interested to know more about our beautiful planet earth we live on.
As Google Earth version 4.2 has been released, a flight simulator is included as hidden feature. You can access this feature either by pressing Control+Alt+A or Command+Option+A. The flight simulator feature is allows you to fly. Recently only two aircrafts are used that are Cirrus SR-22 and F-16. You can control flight simulator with a joystick. The Flight simulator has the capability of flying to any supported location across the globe. If you are a pilot, you are even deciding from where to take off and where to land. Fly time is not much hastened as it takes F-16 at high speed at least sixty minutes. Aircraft can land on any surface level as long as it is below 250 MPH and falling at a less than 2,000 per minute if touching the ground.
In the Google Earth version 5, you are able to fly under water in the ocean. Google Earth’s sky feature is a unique feature. It was introduced in the version 4.2 of Google Earth in the year 2007. It lets users to view as stars as well as other celestial bodies. It was produced by the partnership of Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore and the Science operations center for the Hubble Space Telescope.
Newly launched Hubble pictures are also added in the Google Sky program. New features like multi-wavelength data, orbits, education sources and major satellites are provided to the Google Earth community. Visible on sky mode are stars, constellations and galaxies that depict the planets in their orbits.
Google Earth is a freeware program. In the program Google Earth, you will find new datasets. By using Google earth, you can get directions to visit any location. Using Google maps is best option to reach any place. Google Earth allows users to view satellite maps of any location. You are also able to zoom in planet from space. By using its zoom in feature, you can get detailed information about that place.
