What is Google Earth Outreach?
Google Earth Outreach is a program with which non-profit organizations throughout the world can use the power of Google Earth for illustrating and advocating for the work important work that they are involved in. Google Earth also provides robust online guides, case studies, and video tutorials, on using Google Earth specifically targeted to the needs of non-profit organizations
This program also provides access to the outside Google Earth resources which also include the past Global Awareness partners and KML programmers having some experience and whom Google Earth expects to be valuable in the process of exchanging ideas, soliciting design assistance and offering feedbacks.
Google Earth procedure also offers grants of about $400 value to charitable organizations. They can apply for it online. The grantees who get additional technical support as well from Google. This will be on a rotating basis.
More about Google Earth Outreach Pro Grants: The organizations based only in the United States having the current 501 (c) (3) status are eligible for the Google Earth Pro grant. Google Earth Outreach supports non-profit organizations which work for sharing their mission of community service in areas like culture, environment, education, science, global development, current affairs, social services, and public health.
At this moment, it is not able to make grants to the groups belonging to the following types.
a) Organizations that is political or religious in nature
b) organizations having the purpose of lobbying for a policy or political change
c) organizations that have pending 501(c)(3) status or do not have it at all. The status is decided by IRS
d) organizations that are not based in United States. However, note that it is trying to support International non-profit organizations in the near future.
Note, it is Google's right to decide which organization it wants to grant. It makes the selections at its sole discretion. The decisions, which it makes, are final and there shall be no argument over them. It urges you to be sure for gathering and submitting all required information for applying for its grants. It is not possible for Google to update or change it once it receives your application.
