Yes, you can create a 3D model using Sketch-up and can place it in your Google Earth. So, start flying on Google Earth and locate the place at which you want to put your model. In Sketch-Up you will find an option named ‘Get Current View’. Use this option with your 3D model to get an exact view in Google Earth. Then with ‘Toggle Terrain’ fix the appropriate place for your model. Once you have done with your model simply click on the ‘Place’ tab and you will get to view your model in Google Earth.

Q. how to delete a model from Google earth?

If you want to delete a model that you have placed in Google Earth, then first find the model in ‘Temporary Places’ in ‘Places’ folder on control panel. When you will get your model, simply right click on that model, and select delete option. You model will get deleted from the Google Earth.

You can use any version of Google earth with Sketch-up to place model in Google Earth. You can also download new Google Earth’s features as well as new updates for Google Sketch-Up. If you see your model in positioned in correctly then you need to recheck several reasons. One will be if you have placed the model on incorrect location. If it is so, then you may not find your model on that location. You will get your model back from the default location for Google Sketch-Up models. If you see your model is floating on the terrain then you need to edit the model using Google Sketch-Up. Before editing the model you also need to turn on the 3D image terrain so as to view the place exactly as you saw in Google Earth. If it is off then by default Sketch-up uses 2D terrain that means you will see flat surface below the model. Hence you wont be able to place the model the Google Earth terrain has some ups and downs.

the basic reason can be the graphic card or the resolution problem. You need to fix this if it seems to be and then try to import the terrain snapshots again.
