Editing the listings
After you fill in and submit the complete and correct application for the adding the listings the lives search maps would review your application. If everything is right in it, it may confirm and let you know. After this, it will put the listings on the local listings center.
However, this process may take up to 48 hours once you submit the application. Therefore, your listings may take up to 48 to become viewable on the listings center. However, you check whether your listing has been put up on the listings center you can follow the following procedure.
First open the live maps website and from there choose Business. Then a search box would appear on the screen. In this box, you can enter the business name, and the city or the postal code in which your business is functional. You should also enter the postal code.
c) Then give a search by clicking on the search button bellow the box for entering the above information or by just pressing enter. The live search maps provide you the ability to update or modify your listing from the Local Listing Center. In addition, you can do this at movement.
1)The procedure to edit the listing is as under.
a) Access the home page of the Live Search Local Listing Center.
b) You can login to the listings center by the use of your Windows Live ID this is the password and user name through which you login to any Windows Live, Office Live sites and services or any service MSN. c) Alternatively, you can also use the ID for Hotmail, Passport Network, or Messenger account in place of the Windows Live ID. However this you can do only if it asks you to do so. You can get the complete information related to the signing in using the Windows live ID at the section related to the signing in using the Windows Live ID or cookies.
d) Once you login to the listings center, choose the tab “Edit listing”.
e) Here do the desired editing by making changes in your information. After this, you can just submit the application.
2) However, you can also review the listing. During the reviewing if you find any shortcoming or mistake in the application you can correct it.
a) If you find some mistake in the textual information, you can again correct it at this point of time.
b) Similarly, if you find that the location of your business on the map is not correct, you can just correct it by dragging the pushpin for it on the correct position.
c) If you thick that everything is correct, click “Continue”.
3) In the same way you can also correct the categories. The live search map would provide you the option for choosing up to 6 categories that would describe your business.
However, the procedure for correcting them is the same with which you had chosen them while submitting the application for adding the business listings.
