This is a very useful feature and thus proves to be very useful for people. This is because you can get the routes and the driving direction for these routes. Using the Live Search Maps for finding the driving directions
For using it, you just have to provide the starting point and the ending point of your journey. This will do it. The Live Search Maps will provide you automatically the directions and the routes for your journey.
For the starting point and the end-point you can provide either the address containing the street or the lane number or you can also provide famous location if any nearby to your destination. On the other hand, simply you can also point the place on the maps also.
However, remember this service is available only for some specific regions only.
Procedure for using the Live Search Maps
a) Open Live Search Maps website
b) From there click the option of “Directions”
c) Then two boxes appear on the screen. One is for entering the destination and the other is for your current location. You must enter both of them accordingly in their respective boxes.
d) Then there are options for selection whether you want a long route or a shorter route. Form there you should select the “Shortest time” and the “Shortest distance” route. For getting, the results for the traffic select the “Choose route based on traffic”.
c) Then click Getting directions.
This will display the directions of the traffic on your screen. There are some tools available for better viewing of these results like the Reverse Show list etc.
There is a feature by which you can view a particular step of driving in the region, which the map is showing. For this, you just have to click on the step on the map.
Then, there is another tool, which helps you to see the driving directions in the reverse condition. For this, you will find a button named Reverse on the screen.
These results also feature the subsets of the driving directions. These subsets contain the lists or details of your beginning and ending location. For this, there are buttons of Show, Start details and End details.
Things to remember
a) Some of the business listings you can get the driving directions through the nearby highways or important roads. For his you do not need to mention the starting point. For this, you just can use the 1-click direction button from the bottom of the search result page. Just click this key and enter the direction from which you are approaching that location.
b) Moreover, there is one more useful feature that you can just mark the starting and the ends on the maps using the right key and then clicking “Drive from" or alternatively “Drive to”.
c) Some routes may not have the coverage for this service.
