Live Search Maps searching maps

Live search maps permits the users to print most of the data that it offers to them. There are some options for printing as well. Problems can occur while printing, which are mostly related to your own system.

Getting public transit directions

After you get the transit directions for you desired route, you have the following options for you.

You can view the systematic directions for the desired route. For this, select the desired route by clicking on it.

You can reverse the transit directions by just clicking on the ‘Reverse’ button.

Moreover, you can also print the transit directions by just clicking on the ‘Print’ button.

Notes on getting public transit directions

If while entering the start and end in the ‘From’ and ‘To’ boxes, live search maps provides you a suggestion list, then this is an indication that it has found more than one locations for your keywords. From this, suggestions choose the correct one and then again click ‘Get directions’.

Printing the maps and data

Live search maps allows the users to print the maps, images, search results, the contents from their own collections editor, their notes and any other information that it offers to them. Note that you can get the prints of the driving directions as well.

The procedure for printing the maps and data is as follows.

a) Access the live search maps.

b) Then find the desired location, which you want to get the driving directions for or take the prints.

c) Then click the print button. It is present on the top of the page.

d) Then choose the options that you want. The buttons for these options as well is present at the top of the page. Note that the options available may vary according to the data that you are about to print. Some of the options are as given under.

Map and text: this is the option for printing the visible area of the map and along with it all the associated text. This text will include the collections editor, driving directions and the route summary.

Map only: this is the option for printing the visible area of the map but not the associated text. However, note that the text on the map like labels names of streets, etc, and pushpins are printed.

Text only: this is the option for printing only the associated text as for example the collections editor, driving directions and route summary. Therefore the map and the text displayed on it are not printed. Note that this option is available only when printing the transit information.

e) Then you can click ‘Print’ which will display some options choose the desired ones and again click ‘Print’.

Problems in printing

Problems can occur in printing the data from live search maps. Therefore, it is important to follow the instructions for printing correctly. However, even then problems can occur. In such situations, you can try one of the following.

If you are using Windows XP, click ‘Start’, and then go to the Help and Support’ menu where you will get the ‘File and printer troubleshooter’.

Alternatively, if you are using Windows Vista, go to the website of Windows Vista Help where you will find the ‘File and printer troubleshooter’.

Try out the suggestion or solutions in the ‘File and printer troubleshooter’.
