First you ensure that the slide for hardware acceleration is set to full. If it is not at full you should slide it to full. When you have done this, click OK.

Then again you have to click OK twice, one after the other.

Lastly, close your web browser and then again restart it.

Note:

If your display driver does not support the hardware acceleration then the hardware acceleration slider may not be visible.

If both the things mentioned above do not help you need to ensure that you are having the most recent and supported display driver. The procedure for doing this is given below.

b) When you do any of these a box will appear on the screen. In this box you should type desk.cpl and press Enter key.

c) When this application opens up, go to the settings tab and from there choose Advanced. Alternatively you can also click Advanced Settings.

d) Further, go to the adapter tab and from the options choose properties.

e)Then click the Driver tab and in the Adapter Tab. This will show up the version information.

f) In case you have download divers for you display adapter, recently, you can click Update Driver and this will automatically install the new drivers which you have downloaded.

Notes:

Even in case your computer does not have enough video memory, Virtual Earth will display the message saying that the hardware acceleration is not on. It is very likely that your computer may run out of video memory and if you attempt to run Virtual Earth 3d in more than one browsers or even if your video card does not feature the recommended amount of video memory.

You can check whether memory of your video card is up to the recommendations for Virtual Earth, from the system requirements section.

It is very important to restart your computer whenever you make any of these changes. Without doing this the changes won’t come into effect.

In case you have installed beta drivers for your display adapter, you should make sure that they would support both DirectDraw and Direct3D accelerations. Note that Beta drivers may not provide 3D acceleration support. So if you have these drivers you should make sure with the manufacturer of your display adapter, whether the drivers would support it or not.

Moreover, note if you have logged on to a domain environment, the domain policies in that domain may disable some of the options. Therefore in such case if you are not able to access any option you can contact the network administrator.

The Virtual Earth 3D data covers whole earth. However note that the 3Diamges of buildings are not available for every. You can know more about the cities covered under this feature by visiting the website for Current 3D Cities. At this moment this website is available only in English. If your city is not covered under it there is no reason to worry as Virtual Earth is trying to include more and more cities under this feature.

I highly recommend the Google Software Pack. It comes with a lot of great software that is all FREE. You can also pick and choose which of the software products you want to download. You don't have to download them all. If you have a Mac or you don't want the Google Software Pack for some reason you can download it directly from the main site.
