Servir’s services in Biodiversity
Observation and Prediction: Servir’s with the NASA Ames Ecological Forecasting group is providing as a product of Ecosystem Now-casts and Forecasts can be known as the TOPS-30. A TOP is a modeling software system, which brings together technologies in information. science, weather and climate forecasting, ecosystem modeling, and satellite remote sensing to enhance management decisions related to floods, droughts, forest fires, human health, crop, range, and forest production
Invasive Species: Invasive species are one of the main reasons of biodiversity loss and threats to agriculture. Successful early detection, prevention, and management of invasive species and their impacts require national and international cooperation and sharing of information, technology, and tools
Tracking Invasive Species: Invasive species is defined as a non-native species of the ecosystem under consideration whose introduction may cause or it may likely to cause economic or environmental harm or harm to human health. These species can be plants, animals, and other organisms (for example microbes). Human actions are the primary means of invasive species introductions
Eco-regional Assessments for the Basins: There are many islands of the world's which are center of biological diversity and species endemism with literally thousands of plants and animals found nowhere else on earth
Conservation of these species has proven a great challenge in much large, diverse, and globally important area
The Nature Conservancy address through a strong on-the-ground presence led by country programs theses has science-based conservation strategies
The Nature Conservancy initiated a strategy to address to these problems and opportunities and Regional Conservation Assessment to examine regional biodiversity and its associated threats and conservation opportunities
This strategy follows a worldwide trend of recognizing the need to examine about and manage for the maintenance of functioning ecosystem processes and populations across large regions to help to slow widespread environmental changes. The biological and socio-economic data necessary to analyze the regional-scale in the context of biodiversity has been assembled, into a standard, seamless Geographical information system
Eco regional Assessment Products: There some ecoregional assessment products which are part of servir‘s regular services like- The Natural Conservancy Eco-regional Assessment For Specific Region and its related services there are some regional links like nature Conservancy and related links
The nature Conservancy provides the latest analytical tools and comprehensive biodiversity and socio-economic data, This Conservancy can assist conservation organizations, local communities and governments and non government organizations that are straggling to meet their national or local conservation missions and enhancing their ongoing conservation efforts. These data and tools can be used to enable sound, pragmatic conservation decisions at-scale. In this way, this Natural assessment will serve to enhance and unify ongoing local and national conservation efforts and provide a common vision of conservation success throughout the region(s).
The Use of the data and tools can help to facilitate strategic partnerships amongst both local and regional organizations across the basin, which is a key for achieving results. The Nature Conservancy hopes to put a long-term information system that promotes the protection of the region's irreplaceable terrestrial, freshwater, coastal and marine biodiversity
