Servir Viz toolbar icon explanation

The icons that appear on Servir Viz toolbar are as follows:

Layer Manager: It turns layer manager off and on in Servir Viz window. Layer manager contains many data layers and features that can easily be turned off and on.

Zoom to Location: When you click on this icon, you can zoom to longitude and latitude location based on your input.

Servir WMS Interface: Using this feature, you can browse WMS server archives and also their contents.

Image overlays: This feature allows its users to load images such as 2D maps onto Servir Viz terrain.

Place mark: When you click on this icon, you are able to mark various places of interest on Servir Viz terrain and then export these locations to Google earth's .kmz file

Measure tool: With the help of this feature, you can measure point to point distances in meters and provide bearing in degrees.

GEOSS Decision Support: This icon provides data of Global Earth observation system of Systems to study their interactions on Servir Viz terrain.

GEOSS Marine/Ocean environments: This icon provides a link to GEOSS marine and ocean environment data that you can view in Servir Viz.

GEOSS Weather: Using this icon, you have a direct access to GEOSS weather data that can be viewed in Servir Viz.

GEOSS Disasters: This icon provides a link to the GEOSS disaster data, thereby allowing users to view it in Servir Viz.

GEOSS Climate: With the help of this icon, you can access GEOSS climate data easily and also see it in Servir Viz.

Virtual Earth: Using this icon, you can connect to and use data from local live databases that include hybrid maps, USGS imagery and street maps. It also provides an address finder and data visibility levels that are adjustable.

Historical Earthquake query: With this icon, you can search USGS earthquake data using many variables (magnitude, time, geographic area). Results are displayed on Servir Viz terrain.

GEOSS Ecology: Provides a link to the GEOSS ecology data that you can easily view in Servir Viz terrain.

Demois Workshop: When you click on this icon, a world map on Servir Viz terrain is added that includes cities, hydrography, relief shading, road, and airports.

Topo sheets: As soon as you click on this icon, topographic maps are added to Servir Viz terrain for the Mesoamerican countries.

Vector Layers: If you want to activate vector layers that are under Servir framework in Layer manager then you must click on this icon. The layers include watersheds, lakes, rivers, main roads and many more.

Fire Alerts: It activates fire alert layers that are under Servir framework in layer manager. This layer contains data of last 7 days or past 24 hours.

Volcanoes: On clicking this icon, the volcanoes layer in layer manager is activated The layer provides data on volcanoes and the names of countries where these volcanoes are located. Tooltips about every location are clearly visible when you hover the cursor over the label.

Place names: Labels counties, cities, and countries that is based on current zoom level.

Boundaries: Draws U.S State boundaries and country boundaries.
